Transportation is a great asset for Evergreen and Conecuh County. At the turn of the century, Evergreen was at the center of transportation in Southern Alabama with the railroad and the Grand Federal Highway. Today, businesses located in Evergreen have quick and easy access to Interstate 65 via two interchanges, as well as access to US Highways 31 and 84. Rail service is provided by CSX and the local municipal airport has undergone recent improvements.
